"BC continues to engage in mostly pointless public health theatre" is more accurate.
There is no mandate. Medical mask, lots of loopholes.
HANDWASHING emphasized for a AEROSOL virus.
SEASONALITY emphasized for a NON-SEASONAL virus.
SYMPTOMS emphasized for frequently ASYMPTOMATIC virus.
NOTHING about ROUTINE RAPID TESTING, N95s, IMPROVED IAQ, or ASHRAE standard 241 for infection control.
Expect BC hospitals to be in crisis all winter
Health Canada is pushing the lie that there is a "respiratory virus season" in the midst of the ongoing covid pandemic, and emphasizing droplet and contact precautions when we know A) all respiratory viruses are primarily spread by aerosols and B) aerosol production is dominated by ordinary activities like breathing and talking, not coughing and sneezing (which are rare episodic, not continuous and commonplace).
@74aff7f9 He's the same age as Paul McCartney (still making good music) and Mick Jagger! The age thing is ridiculous. He's almost ten years younger than my father-in-law, who is still going pretty strong.
