Somehow my Alby browser extension had a different nostr key. confused by that. I really like the thought of nostr, but im just not sure im down with the implementation.
Any one using something like 0xChat? @ChrisLAS did Brent or Wes ever make it to nostr? I think Brent said something about playing nostr chess and I’m all in on getting my ass kicked at some chess.
Plus I saw that @Alby is going to sunset the free [@]getalby.com address unless you host your self so that just further makes me wonder why it requires your user name and local-part of the email address to be same. I don’t really want to disclose my email address but I’m also not paying to be verified. Seems like a shortfall of the nostr protocol. @ChrisLAS am I missing something? Feel like I am.
Why does NIP-05 specify that your use name and email address have to be the same to get verified? I purposely don’t use the same so I’m not spammed into oblivion. I’m verified through alby but what happens if they go away?
@ChrisLAS getting caught up on shows since I’ve been in the middle of a move. LUG 554: Mansplaining as a Service…. I laughed so hard people in the subway thought I was crazy.
