Prometheus surprised me too. I started fresh from the opening credits, so I spent the first half of the film not even realizing it was part of a franchise, just digging the style.
Jesus turned (some) water into wine because he understood scarcity & human nature. Excellent marketing really, since we're still here talking about it, and folks pay a huge premium for wine over water these days. 😏
Sun-seared is the way

Credit money is compulsory AND it was forbidden for much of our history. Go figure.

The one who goes "ooh ohh oooh oooh I'm still alive"
I do miss the other two a lot. And honorable mentions for Bennington, & Weiland
What a tragic genre 90's grunge was 🥲
Slavery.
2 fundamental things social humans use nearly every day: literacy of ideas (language) & literacy of actions (money).
We teach just enough of language to spread propaganda, but stop short of teaching enough of it to see past the propaganda.
Much of the propaganda is a narrative about or in service of economics, of which we unsurprisingly teach nothing to students.
The best logical reason for this level of ignorance/ineptitude to persist for so long past the Enlightenment Era where mass literacy was sparked is to preserve the institution of slavery, an owning class & a working class, with workers who truly honestly believe monopoly credits are a fair trade for their life's work.
Some of Disney's early content was majorly insensitive. Like casually enslaving dwarves & shit. No fucks given.
Something tells me Walt would have followed the money though & morphed the business exactly as his successors did.
This note hints at a deep disconnect between our information systems & the physical reality they're meant to represent.
It's why unconstraining dollars from gold (or anything else) causes civil unrest.
It's why erasing history on the internet is common while erasing history in the physical realm is nearly impossible.
There are some places where unconstrained imagination is fine to exercise. The foundations of our communication and cooperation mechanisms across society, the internet & economics, are not such places. We need to start re-tethering these things to our physical realm, and get our heads out of the clouds!

That moment just after you consciously wake when you realize only like 1% of what's going on in your mind is real...and then you immediately forget 90% of the rest 😏
Language Warfare
Like bastardizing the word cache to convince folks dollars store value
Or bastardizing the word inflation to mean price "rise" instead of monetary "expansion"
It helps to be skilled with language in today's era; modern education fails miserably, seemingly by design
Proven right...for keeping things dead simple.
Folks who "lose their savings" often can't explain their savings at all, because of our rube goldberg financial systems nature.
Bitcoiners simply "have a few sets of 24 words."
What's fascinating is that some people actually resent bitcoiners for succeeding in this way

Problem is if I see a note on my feed from AccountA, I want to boost it from AccountB, but not follow that profile. It's likely more than 10 clicks to accomplish that, then more clicks to navigate back to your starting point. Some folks would just forego the boost & move on, which is very suboptimal.
FairEmail handles multiple accounts & identities well. I stay on it's unified view & routinely toggle the sending identity when I send or reply to something.
Fork the project & start ripping things out if you don't want them. The account switcher at the bottom works. But I'm genuinely curious what the reason for your sepwrate accounts is, that a new long press toggle would somehow inhibit your experience 🤔
Once you glean the scale & modernity of munitions at play, the ethics of an individual murder take a backseat to the fear of not keeping up.
It's an "it sucks but the only other option is surrender" situation. And from what I've seen & heard, it isn't an easy thing to reconcile.
This is literally the thing that got me to avoid this kind of media. Watching a picture of a tweet next to a talking head is insanity, but the "trusted news sources" leaned into that format hard in the beginning 🤦♂️
