Good morning lovely people. I have family (aunt and her generation cousins)in the direct path of Hurricane Milton and I am struggling. Closer to home: tub&tile Tuesday, Gibson's grooming appointment

1/2 My relationship with sleep is tenuous at best. I did my yoga and meditation, smoked my finest myrcene rich cannabis and was walking into my bedroom to a dog making that noise that could be coughing, gagging or choking. He's was sick and doing better but I am primed to shoo him outside. There goes all the work I just did. And now, everything is bothering me, from the noise of one dog licking his feet to how the sheets feel on my legs. Is this #adhd overstimulation?
I actually left JoAnn's with more than I planned to, instead of empty handed because it's totally normal for a 51 yr old woman to get a sudden urge to make a pink faux fur pillow. Seeing all the bare shelves makes me sad. And all of the elastic was some brand I've never heard of.

My fav ADHD adjacent podcast and the one host has brought all the research on super tasters. Yay, my people! And also, the upside of long COVID is that it took the edge off my super tasting and it's now easier for me to eat.
I think this is the day that I am finally done with the local morning radio dj. Dude is talking about late diagnosed #adhd and is so wrong. His stance in a nutshell "I was medicated for it as a kid but I grew out of it, so therefore adults don't have it". I have listened to the guy for 20 years. He hasn't "grown out of it". He lives a life of someone who can't sit down and has talked about how his kids have dealt with it over the years.
Early thoughts on: 1 hour per task, move on to next task whether complete or not. I can totally clean 2 bathrooms in an hour. Let's see how much I can get done in my sewing room in an hour. Or I could sit for an hour in the sun.
Good morning, lovely people! Gonna try something new to help me feel like I'm getting stuff done. Let's try an hour for each task, so I get a little bit of everything done, sewing, cleaning, laundry

So, weed helps my IBS. Good, right? Well, it has to be a myrcene-rich strain to work but those are the heavy indicas and now I'm too high to knit cables.

Me: I feel like shit and want a treat. Boba is a better choice than French fries, right?
Also me: Why am I not even drowsy?
Goddamn it, my own choices lead to this so I can't even bitch about it
(am I really about to watch Real Amish Witches cause I'm tired of everything else?)
On paper, glitterbomb should be a "sleeping pill". It's a myrcene bomb but instead, my head is full of ideas. This better not turn into a second day in a row to start before 2am.

@53aab824 Did I find an Etsy seller selling someone else's designs or did they change their name and didn't change all the branding? Either way, it's deceptive. I was one of the original testers for this bra pattern and it was the worst fitting bra pattern I have ever made, not to mention the designer clearly didn't understand lingerie sewing and sizing. I remember asking the designer about sister sizing (common in bra sizing) and she had no idea what I was talking about.

Can I trust a recipe for vegan tzatziki that uses dill pickle juice? I follow recipes a lot closer since going vegan because sometimes weird combinations are required to replicate the non-vegans counterpart but can't I just use coconut milk yogurt in place of the dairy yogurt? No vegan magic, as I call it.

As I try to build a more environmentally conscious wardrobe, I am convinced that I need to move away from cotton (it's used tons of water) but I love all those pretty cotton jersey prints. Oh, there's a company out there printing on bamboo jersey, you say?

@f2f81009 I get my bamboo fleece from https://www.kinderel.com/ in Canada. The prices are good and the shipping was much faster than I expected from Canada.
Good morning, lovely people! Tonight's movie is The Medium. It's raining so, I'll probably skip walkies. I have finished all my sewing WIPs, so I need to prioritize my plans and wardrobe needs. I also plan on making a batch of burritos to go into the freezer. Oh, and a trip to the nursery for mulch, maybe some bulbs.

I nearly bought an entire bolt of black sweatshirt fleece. I got super excited and started making plans. Then, I scrolled down. No, I am not putting 80% polyester on my skin.
Friday Kamikat, the one who makes the weekly menu, loves the idea of making zaatar flatbreads to go with the chickpea shawarma bowl but future Kamikat will probably bail on that.
The recipe calls for "a pinch of kala namak black salt" and I'm like "girl, I've had COVID. I need more than a pinch of anything"

Day 3 of 40days of hip opening hatha followed by the kundalini power pack (Sat kriya and Kirtan kriya). Hips are already feeling better.

Good morning, lovely people! Tonight's movie is Dead Girl in Apartment 3. I am feeling a bit at loose ends, menu planning and grocery shopping definitely needs to be done. I don't know what else will get done.

@5bb3243a There is one mega cinema near me that always has 2 screens dedicated to Indian movies. Based on the movie posters, usually one action and one drama. I haven't been since COVID, so things may have changed.
@d564a609 If you are comfortable with subtitles, I would recommend The Advent Calendar and Warning: Do Not Play. If not, Slaxx is a fun little movie about haunted jeans
@664d1a86 Now comes the "damn, there's a grown ass man in my house". It's weird and I never got used to it even though I watched my kids grow from boy to grown ass man.
@7dbf2181 I see people all over the place saying people are now leaving in the middle of his speeches and that never would have happened in 2020. I hope they are becoming disillusioned.
