At Primal, we create follow recommendations for new users based on interests they specified during the sign-up process. We also started working on long form article curations. All this is publicly accessible via nostr lists for the official Primal account (link below).
If you have suggestions regarding recommended accounts or articles, please let us know!

We are working on a bunch of new feeds at Primal. They will all be open source and exposed in a public feed marketplace (as DVMs). In addition, all Primal clients will support 3rd party feeds via the same mechanism. This already works great in Amethyst; nice work @Vitor Pamplona.
If you have suggestions for feeds you'd like to see, let us know and we'll try to make them! 🫡
The "Latest" feed is a chronological list of notes by your follows.
We do have the global feed. You can access it via the web app: https://primal.net/explore/global/latest
If you wish to add it to your main feed picker, simply click the "add this feed to my home page" link at the top of the feed. This will add the feed to both web and mobile apps.
Sad to see this. 😕
You guys definitively moved the ball forward. We are all grateful to you for that! Looking forward to see what you'll come up with next. Hope your next project involves both Nostr and Bitcoin.

The biggest story around Nostr isn’t censorship resistance.
It’s the total reshaping of the incentive structure on the Web. The platform silos currently hold most of the power, but Nostr will shift it to users and content creators. This will become more obvious as we build out the tools for users and content creators. Zaps are just the starting point. Exciting times ahead.

Our in-app purchase feature is designed to help people get a small amount of sats for the first time so they can experience zapping on nostr. This feature isn't designed for regularly buying sats; you are much better off using a service like Strike for that.
In some cases frequent in-app purchases trigger our fraud logic and freeze the wallet. We unfreeze it quickly if we determine that we are dealing with a legitimate user.
You should be able to do this already in any of our clients. Go to Settings / Feeds and set the order you prefer. The top feed will be the default one.
Thanks for caring enough to provide this feedback @naval! You’re right; our current tagline misses the mark. Planning to change it for the upcoming 2.0 release.
We just released a patch to Primal for iOS that fixes the profile linking issue reported yesterday. Everyone should upgrade to the latest build (1.9.3).

When uploading through Primal, those files are hosted on Primal's media server. We will add the capability to use 3rd party media servers soon.
If you hare having upload issues, please let us know.
Great read, enjoy.
IMHO, The Fiat Standard is even better. It's a meticulous critique of the fiat world that helped me understand how the monetary system affects virtually every aspect of the society. Even though it sounds batshit insane, the old phrase "bitcoin fixes everything" actually has merit.
Just wish @saifedean was more active on Nostr!
Nostr is inevitable.
However, the adoption trajectory is uncertain. It could take a couple of years or a decade before Nostr gains critical mass. Our actions will make all the difference. The builders and early adopters bear the responsibility of guiding Nostr through this early stage.
Anyhow, good morning! ☀️
Are they really rivals to Nostr tho?
I guess the answer differs based on what you want to use Nostr for. Personally, I don't see either of them offering foundational building blocks for the new Internet.
IMHO, only Nostr provides self-sovereign cryptographic identities, web of trust, communication layer, and persistence layer - all of which are truly open and permissionless. That's why I think that Nostr is inevitable.
I realize that in theory similar things can be claimed, but do you see large numbers of users actually holding their keys on these networks? If not, then we are talking about different types of networks imo.
Also, what's your take on the diversity of apps being built on the competing networks? On Nostr, we have just about every imaginable app type being built or at least attempted. I find this to be insanely bullish for Nostr.
Hey @alejandro, that doesn't sound right. If you were able to activate the wallet and sends sats to it, the app shouldn't ask you for anything else at a later time. Are you really not able to withdraw? What is the error message you are getting?
Okay, we can help you with this. I'll send you a DM shortly.
As for your question, KYC is a legal requirement for offering a custodial wallet service; it is not our choice to collect this information.
