Guy on my train just now was dressed as Gandalf the Grey, the ticket inspector on the platform greeted him with a cheery "Ho! Jesus!". He should have turned him into a toad. 😂🤦🏻 #LordOfTheRings #Glasgow

This YouTube channel was recommended by someone in a toot a few days ago and its creator, Berenice Tresorier, has produced here a charming, absorbing video showing true creativity and imagination. I highly recommend watching.

There are some stunningly beautiful images in this report - what an amazing place the Universe is.
@87b364ab Me too, I hadn't had it long and can't afford to replace it, plus I was getting some really exciting results shooting in the hi-contrast B&W mode.
How the hell does someone LOSE a Ricoh GR III? I've turned the house and the car upside down and there's no sign of it. I last used it three days ago in local woodland. I'm absolutely gutted 😔

@f47e6e59 Sorry to hear you've been unwell Alfie but glad you're on the mend. I love the bokeh in that first image, and the contrast of old and ultra-modern in the fourth one
@9876b614 Not tracks as such, sorry, but we recently caught three ladies singing traditional folk songs, shanties and Gaelic songs at the ClydeBuilt Festival in Glasgow - they were called Tripple, after the Doric word for rhythmic toe-tapping, I believe, and their harmonies were simply beautiful. Sadly, they don't yet have any recordings, although they are keen to produce something.
@31b9b812 Yeah, not too bad, I'm on the road at the moment, taking our poorly dog to see our son in Lincoln for the final time, so a lot of driving in this horrendous heat 🥵
@87b364ab Thank you Chris, I set out to get a sense of the larger coastal scenes while also focusing on intimate details, with a mix of techniques. It was a very rewarding project.
@2ee43d7d Mint's installer is one of the better ones in Linux, it's usually just a case of answering the various prompts. If you let me know where things are going wrong I may be able to help - I've done umpteen Mint installs over the years.
@68f40fee I had a day like that on the coast yesterday - howling wind and rain under a doom-laden sky one minute, dazzling reflections of the sun in a clear blue sky the next. The only constant was the surging waves of high tide.
