Mental Breakthroughs
People spend their lives trying to improve mental prisons. Their mistake is they haven’t realized they’re surrounded by prison walls. No matter how much you improve the prison walls you will always be trapped.
If you’re lucky an event will take place, one so profound it’ll put a crack in the wall.
Your once dormant curiosity comes alive and you start chipping at the wall like Andy Dufrain in Shawshank.
For the first time you realize the walls that imprisoned you. You begin to dissolve them mentally and reach new frontiers.
You might call them self limiting beliefs, in any case they’re meant to be shattered.
I’ve found this true in life, sports, and bitcoin.
5 years ago I found bitcoin, I was in the military feeling stuck, depressed and hopeless.
I started reading and listening to everything bitcoin related.
I bit the bullet and sold everything in my 401K, ended up paying $30K in taxes and everyone called me crazy and reckless.
I took all the money and was able to get multiple coins. I still dca to this day.
I’ve gotten out the military, I’m happy now. People no longer think I’m crazy. Maybe some still do.
I’m quitting my job today because I don’t enjoy it.
Bitcoin made all this possible.
It gave me freedom.
It gave me courage to pursue what I want and not be a slave to money.

I’ve noticed when I perform poorly in sports or any activity it’s because I’m mentally multi-tasking.
I’m doing the movement while also thinking about the movement, my attentions divided.
When I’m at my best the mind is empty, all that remains is movement.
Mindfulness isn’t about stopping your thoughts.
Rather it’s accepting them.
Like a seasoned boxer learns to accept the opponent will always throw punches.
You learn to relax in the chaos, then you begin to understand.
