 Immigrant Workers Helped Prevent Economic Troubles in US
==========

Economic experts and business owners in the United States say immigrant workers have helped keep the country from falling into a recession. The unemployment rate has gone down, but rates have continued to rise. People like Luisana Silva and Mariel Marrero, immigrants from Venezuela, have found jobs and are able to support themselves and their families. The number of native-born Americans in their 'prime working years' has dropped, but immigrants have filled that gap. Immigrants accounted for almost 19 percent of the U.S. labor force in 2023. Immigrants are doing important work that many Americans will not do and are likely to start new businesses. The U.S. economy has room for more workers.

 Record Numbers of Indian Students Study at US Universities
==========

The number of Indian students studying at foreign universities has increased significantly, with 1.5 million students estimated to be studying abroad, eight times more than in 2012. The United States is the most popular destination for Indian students. Many Indian students believe that studying abroad will improve their job prospects. American universities benefit from the increase in Indian students, as they pay full tuition fees. India's own higher education system is unable to meet the demand, leading to increased competition for entrance to top Indian universities. Universities in Canada, Australia, and Britain are also seeing increased interest from Indian students. However, the majority of Indian young people are unable to afford an overseas education. The high cost of tuition and the student visa process create barriers for many. The number of students coming from China has been decreasing, possibly due to political tensions and a slowing Chinese economy.
