@f8d9bc1c Just yesterday, I perused the ACM Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct for the first time.

(I joined ACM via SIGCHI fairly recently and didn’t even know that such an extensive, thoughtful, and, well, ethical, Code existed. *sigh*)

The cognitive disconnect could hardly be greater between that Code on the one hand, and the everyday money-is-everything decision making of High Tech corporate “leadership” on the other.

Just utterly shameful.

This was a glorious and exhausting day and I am now either going to read a sci-fi book, watch TV,...
@bb1a99d2 Diese Entscheidung sollte Dir nicht allzu schwer fallen, hoffe ich. 😏

@749d2a0c Every time an interaction design like this appears, I (admittedly naïvely) wonder just how many people it took to conceive the product; (#UX- and tech-)design, architect, and implement the system, flows, and screens; and eventually ship this thing.

And at no point in the entire project did anyone (with the necessary authority) decide to stop this from going live in this exact form.

Sad, really, considering how much craft and commitment must have gone into building this. ☹️
