Ah, you can't go wrong with some proper dub!
I'm plotting my next musicking idea, but my usual Saturday morning session has had to be postponed because I have to go and get my Covid booster in the morning.
But I'm keeping Mr Eno's Oblique Strategy in mind ("slow preparation - fast execution") so maybe I'll do something on Sunday instead. It's no bad thing to let ideas percolate...
Friday afternoon #MutualAidRequest on behalf of the Good Chap known as @2184a19c who has encountered some unexpected medical expenses.
Worse than unexpected items in the baggage area, those things.
Friends, if you are able, please donate something to:

In the spirit of unexpected items, every little helps.
We now return you to your scheduled bloomscrolling...
Today, Friday 06 October, from 08.00 to 20.00 UK time, it's #BandcampFriday, when the site waives its own fees so that musicians receive the full amount of any purchases made.
My new album, "ghost echoes" - as heard on radio! - is available to stream, or download for as much or as little as you want.

I might have been a little optimistic. It starts well, with earlier singles - Bruford era, I think - before sagging in the middle ("Relayer") and never really climbing back up.

Also out is Roger Waters' remake of DSotM and that's a hard no from me.
A "new" Yes singles compilation album seems to have mysteriously appeared on my desktop and, honestly, I think it might be the best Yes album I've ever heard.
And I have heard a few, let me tell you...
Despatches from the IT Helldesk frontline:
A heartfelt howl of rage from a colleague in the wilds of north London -
"What the b****y h**l...
...is Microsoft Authenticator? How much more difficult does IT want to make it for me to do my job????"
My new album, "ghost echoes" is up on my Bandcamp page.
https://helen313.bandcamp.com/album/ghost-echoes
It's a longform (approx.50 minutes) continuous mix of instrumental minimal ambient/ambient drone music, recorded in a single take on Sunday 01 October 2023.
Beats, singing, and snazzy TikTok dance routines are not included.
"ghost echoes" is available to download as 'pay what you will' - or free to download if you stick a 0 in the Amount field. Or you can give me money, if you think it's worth it... 🤣
"Rishi Sunak says 20mph limits and Ulez 'aren't the values of British people'"
If he had his way, those values would include aspiring to flying our own personal helicopters everywhere, and the environment, air pollution, etc, can all gtf.
Twat.
Out of touch with reality twat.
The recent Bandcamp takeover has me thinking.
Worst case: It will become monetised in some way which will change it for the worse.
Best case: No change and we all continue as we are.
In any event, pessimist that I am, I am mulling alternative ways to share my music.
Given there are only very few people who actually listen to my stuff at the moment, it may be that I will end up no longer publicly sharing anything.
*thinky-thoughts intensify*
