I’ve been playing with Obsidian and it’s plugins for things like Micro.Blog and Nostr. Trying to get myself posting thoughts and yet still avoiding the doom scrolls.
I’m starting a new blog for my health journey and interests, along with a second Nostr account to match it. I may make Micro.Blog the main activity pub page for it, instead of making another mastodon account. For now, it just has an about page.

Their problem is they actively archive things they don't have rights to and constantly get sued. If they focused on archiving the web, they would be good and have funds.
Right now, I have two external blogs I just share links into Micro.Blog with. Sometimes I wonder if I should import the whole posts through the RSS feed. In the past this has had formatting problems when imported.. what do my fellow Microbloggers do?

When I encounter very informative websites, I have gotten in the habit of using wget and downloading the whole thing. For example, Ray Peat has been dead for some time now, but his site is still up, so I just archived it for myself. To think of all the good stuff that could just vanish.

I always have trouble with VMWare and Virtualbox on Linux systems. I am going to try Quickemu and see if I have any better luck with things running stably.

I am thinking of making a second blog of pure technical stuff to keep it separate from personal things. There are a couple platforms I like, so this would give me an opportunity to play with them.
I was at Costco this morning and they had one of those new Snapdragon Windows machines. I was pretty impressed, it was fast. First non Apple arm machine I have seen that is worth a damn.

The vice presidential debate was so nice, they were both fairly civil and polite to each other. It was refreshing that it was a real debate and not just a bunch off smack talk.
Today I feel is a good day to sort clothes, every now and again I need to sort through what is actually worn and what just takes up space and thin things out. I like to keep clothes to a minimum. And then there is the question of the clothes I have to wear occasionally because the wife bought them.
Someone give me the skinny on grounding blankets… real or gimmick? I get grounding, but the products are starting to flood in these days.

I would be more apt to keep my ad blocker off if sites would give me some choices on ads. Like I would love an American made catagory or better yet local. I would be more than willing to view such ads and enable geo location to get them.

Those who use Fastmail, are you a folder or label type person? How do you use them. I’m trying to decide which one I want to use. Folders are the ultimate organization tool to me, but labels allow things to be seen in multiple spots making it easier to use multiple classifications…hmmm 🤔

I remember there used to be a service for sharing songs, where you could find the track and get a link, then the person following the link would have their choice of service to follow from there whether tidal, Spotify, Apple Music, etc… I can’t remember the name of it to save my life, though.
I’m considering doing 100 days of blogging. I’m not sure if I’m ready to commit to forcing that much content out. I’m guessing a large percentage of it would end up being crap just to get something out there.
I was just looking at some diet based books on Amazon and noticed you can pay for them with your FSA/HSA card. I know a lot of people who don’t spend all of that, may as well get some good reading.

My right 2nd Gen Airpod barely works these days. I feel a replacement may be due, so do I do the AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancelation or go all out with the AirPods Pro 2?
