Very jazzed to have spent my morning with social documentary photographer Máximo Cólon and his partner Kathe, setting up in Marquette U's library an exhibit of several decades of photographs. Inspiring work, and delightful people both of them. http://www.maximorafaelcolon.com/

Chipping away at editorial work with early Eartha on the turntable (and a spicy margarita in the glass). A good evening.

Now and then I go and rewatch Khruangbin's video for Evan Finds the Third Room. Brightens every time, with its spunky lady in green and her invisible hula hoop, and its mellow funky baseline.

"We found the happiest lady in China. We told her that you don't need a real hula hoop to have fun. She agreed." - Josh King

The day’s made cheerier by the happy tejano music drifting in the open window from Milwaukee’s 9/15 celebrations going on a few blocks away. #VivaMexico #MexicanIndependenceDay
Tonight’s listening: A 1970-ish recording of traditional Korean folk songs sung by Eun Jo Lee and others. Feeling the high of being aurally transported. #vinyl #analog #korea #FolkSongs

A work project that has been far less work than dorky fun: digitized bookplates! This small collection of digitized plates is the first installment of many representing the humble trove of plates that appear in Marquette University’s library collection.

Grateful for dedicated and skilled colleagues who led this endeavor. #MarquetteU
Stellar way to end a long, long day: Warming under both blanket and cat with wry, savory nuggets of literary criticism from Zadie Smith’s Changing My Mind. #ZadieSmith #BedtimeReading #BlackCatsOfMastadon
