#IndieWeb, on their own website, saysThe IndieWeb is a people-focused alternative to the “corporate web”.Then if you check their chat they are bridged with #Discord, and seem in no way interested to get people away from anything corporate and towards something more people-focussed. How can anyone take such a movement seriously when their main community presence is linked to proprietary, corporate platforms...
@95b57652 Will we finally figure out that society was better when we actually promoted familiesThat was figured out ages ago, but promoting this idea will get you labeled a far-right nazi these days. Narratives aren't about what is true or false anymore.
@dcc234ff there might be reasons for anyone to use YouTube directlySuch as?try to make yourself better than themI'm not trying to be better, I am better. But you can be better too if you just try.someone doing something different from you isn't inherently wrong or evilCorrect, but supporting harmful platforms that only serve harmful companies to become more powerful and destroy the open and free (as in freedom) Internet is wrong and evil.
@dcc234ff Just don't use #YouTube. At the very least, if you for some reason are too mentally weak to just not stop a using harmful service, use an #Invidious instance.
@djsumdog Do you just want to add OpenSearch for comparison reasons or fun, then? Or is there something else you're looking to fix? It seems odd to want 2 different centralized logging systems
