Why are we still talking about #nostr as (only) a #socialmedia? Nostr is not #instagram, nor #twitter. It's a #protocol! We should start #marketing specific #nostrapp s as valid alternatives to the #centralized ones...
I get your point, and yes it's frustrating to find alternatives when there's none (yet).
Please understand that #nostr is a really well openly structured protocol that transmit notes and other stuff via relays (data-storage)
So to have great contents, you should first the "what" (nice pics? cool let's try nostragram) + select the type of data you want to see from your trusted relays.
In case you don't like the experience, no worries, just change client and instead nostragram we'll be soon more options for you. IF you don't like the data, then change relay, there is (and there gonna be) more specific relays (ie: cats, gardening, whateverelse)... or build your own one, that's an option too.
First thing I believe is to bring all your insta-followers (or fam&friends) to follow you on the new "platform/app". Help them be onboarded.
