 Part time or full time?
 flexible depending on the candidate
we're looking for an experienced rust dev to join our work on a library for cashu wallets and mints (cashu dev kit, cdk). we're going to to use cdk to build a native cross-platform mobile wallet and a production-ready mint. we're thinking long-term.

free and open source. grants exist. it's a dream job.

pls repost and share with your hacker circles
because it's bad practice, otherwise your nsec remains in the app and doesn't leave it. as "secure" as every other app that you put your nsec into :)
zeus dont do splicing and lnd still cant do that, yes and yes
all my homies love splicing :(
Does nostr:nprofile1qqsrf5h4ya83jk8u6t9jgc76h6kalz3plp9vusjpm2ygqgalqhxgp9gpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumt0wd68ytnsw43qzrthwden5te0dehhxtnvdakqz8thwden5te0dehhxarj94c82c3wwajkcmr0wfjx2u3wdejhgjaa6xr do splicing? LND still can't do it right?

anyone have a list of NIP-60 compatible cashu wallets? #asknostr
 https://sovereign.app/ (afaik a modified nip-60 by nostr:nprofile1qqsxkxud4s60l3sagexlamcquj5y5czwzuh0vwglkc5jj0t0zenpfrqprdmhxue69uhkx6rjd9ehgurfd3kzumn0wd68yvfwvdhk6qgdwaehxw309ahx7uewd3hkcqg5waehxw309aex2mrp0yhxgctdw4eju6t0pz6090 - maybe compatibility should/can be achieved)

I've you've ever wondered why the maintenance phase of software produces is longer and more-expen...
100%, every now and then unmaintained features should be dropped

 I found my nuts! πŸ˜‚

Ok. So it’s mostly a UX issue in one instance. Nothing to panic about! πŸ‘ nostr:note1hhg3ery0...
Appreciate caution though. It's custodial and still early dev. Please reports when you see something off and be patient with the devs :)
lol wtf let me think of a way to abuse this

Be careful with cashu wallets, don’t put any serious money in yet. There were serious bugs and ...
Let me know when you can, I'll see if they persist.
But not receiving correctly? Balance doesn't disappear in npub.cash (see history there, all tokens remain stored forever)
That's not a bug, rather a UX confusion. npub.cash is like a vending machine. It shows you what you received since the last time you opened it. All past tokens are in thee history.
All tokens are still there. Please check history and confirm. Definitely not great UX IMO. I think the UI should behave differently than the API. Something for nostr:nprofile1qqsdmup6e2z6mcpeue6z6kl08he49hcen5xnrc3tnpvw0mdgtjemh0spzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuvrcvd5xzapwvdhk6qg5waehxw309aex2mrp0yhxgctdw4eju6t0qyt8wumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnwdaehgu3wvfskueqgxmmun
 How to make a pancake?
Sounds like a bug.... or Lightning getting stuck. Would be good to tell the user what's up. At least the coins are back.
Oh yeah, nostr:nprofile1qqsph3c2q9yt8uckmgelu0yf7glruudvfluesqn7cuftjpwdynm2gygprpmhxue69uhkv6tvw3jhytnwdaehgu3wwa5kuef0qyt8wumn8ghj7am0wshxummnw3ezuurpwf68jtcpzdmhxue69uhhwmm59e6hg7r09ehkuef0gn5qes have you tried npub.cash via cashu.me ? You can withdraw into it directly (same for the cashu wallet in iris)
That was Fedimint I assume. How did it happen?
I like receiving zapped sats on my cashu wallet in iris and then uploading it to my mobile cashu wallet through the air to my phone via animated QR

 Wen bitcoins?
another thing that's possibly a bug or maybe a confusing design choice is that I see replies from different people being grouped as a single reply (I think the first reply to a post). example: all these people have replied but it looks like they all wrote the same comment or so. https://image.nostr.build/ab6d56b207dab10a8007a1b6f53c41efa3b27c77e77bcb9ace33ec136cdab1b9.png
another bug for image upload: when I start uploading an image while composing and then during the upload, move the cursor and write more text, the newly added text vanishes and is replaced by the text that was present when I started the upload. it would be more useful to insert the upload link in the bottom of the post, no matter where my cursor is and what the current content of the box is. tagging for visibility @Martti Malmi
unsolicited UX feedback for iris.to @Martti Malmi – thanks for fixing tagging, it's working great. can you allows us to select the tagged profile by pressing `<tab>` (instead of having to click on it with the mouse?

another bug I encounter every now and then is that the compose modal just vanishes randomly when I mark some text sometimes, I'm guessing it's some error being thrown. the text is usually still there when I reopen the compose modal.

You're the best! Here is another detail: the tagging modal goes away when you hit ESC but not when you click on the outside of it. Works for hackers butt maybe not for normies :)

Nice, Iris was my primary client but now I don’t use it. Going back there. Thanks mate!
make sure to hard-refresh if you still have an old version
try iris.to – it's as reliable as primal and as fast as nostrudel (which I both love and use)
sounds interesting, can I steal it?
imagine being granted a life in this world and wasting it as a hater

whatever people say about losing weight in europe has definitely not happened to me in japan fwiw...
running for 1 hour is like burning calories worth of 1 candy bar. weight loss by movement is extremely hard. decreasing input is a lot easier IMO.
Gm, researching sparse merkle trees and optimizations thereof and 9 out of 10 implemenations are from some random shitcoin projects I've never heard of. Incredible amount of crypto r&d generated by these projects in total. Immensely greatful for all the previous work, don't think it's wasted energy since it's better this research exists in a useless context than not at all.

I hear from a good source that Julian Assange thinks nostr is interesting πŸ‘€
He alluded to it at his talk at the EU the other day ;)

Caveat: perfect privacy doesn't exist πŸ€™
The privacy is provable. If you know what code you're running on your own machine.
No, it's enough if you know what's running on your phone. You don't need to trust uncle Jim to protect your privacy with ecash.
This is how blind signatures work. Check docs.cashu.space > Resources (mobile rn)
Have you also noticed that most people here aren't exclusively talking about Nostr and Bitcoin anymore?

This is great!
I'm gonna keep talking mostly about Bitcoin tho
