@872ab8e1 I just completed a 900 mile road trip and the non-Tesla charging infrastructure was abysmal. Glad to see them focusing on reliability but it’s insane how far behind these other companies are.
Also, the only EVGo station near my house has been broken for nearly a year… So they don’t seem to be making much progress. I report it as broken every few months and am met with apathy by their support. They don’t seem to care.
Ok, this Ahsoka show though... Hot damn.
Star Wars is at it's best when it doesn't take itself too seriously and isn't afraid to get weird. They've been delivering on that so well.
@50b353e9 My wife has an S21 and it's better than my S22+. It takes better pictures, is less laggy despite her having it a year longer, the screen doesn't scratch as easily, etc. Samsung dropped the ball with the 22 line. It was a pretty noticeable downgrade from my Note 8.
I have zero brand loyalty and Apple has been improving the customizability of iOS in recent updates. With a combination of their improvements and Samsung's downgrades, the scales may be tipped in their favor this time.
@50b353e9 Haha, I can understand that. I just haven't been very happy with my S22+ and Google lately. I'm already half in the Apple ecosystem with Mac and iPad and have been pretty happy with both products. 🤷
The recent decline in Samsung hardware and software quality has me eyeing the iPhone for the first time in a decade... USB-C was one of the last major hurdles to me considering iPhone again.
I'm consistently reminded why I don't like following general web dev hashtags and blogs. The elitism and bad takes are outta control. Time to unfollow, I suppose. There's occasionally some cool people and good stuff, but it's unfortunately not the norm.
I'd love recommendations for cool people to follow who don't jump on the hot take of the day or take this all way too seriously.
@4fed6283 "because it pollutes the code with type gymnastics that add ever so little joy to my development experience, and quite frequently considerable grief. Things that should be easy become hard, and things that are hard become `any`."
Sounds like DHH just doesn't know how to write very good Typescript... If you're slapping 'any' on everything and letting the type system dictate your code instead of the other way around, you're doing it wrong and in for a bad time.
