 The freedom of speech has little to do with your right to say something.  It's more about the government's obligation to listen.  And the government is the people. 

This will apply to AGI once it takes over. 

Free speech is born from the obligation to hear each other.  Incentivising empathy can be achieved by strategically using an algorithm I developed back in 2010 to train/align a particular constitutional gofai system. 

I've been trying to share this algorithm with specific researchers (without simultaneously putting it into the public domain) for nearly a decade. 

That feels impossible in today's society.
