Make sure you have at least 8Gb RAM available on your laptop/desktop
- download GPT4ALL, JAN .AI, DiffusionBee etc. (many GUI's available)
- then download whatever LLM models the apps recommend for your setup (usually models like minstral 8B, etc.)
- boom, enjoy. 

*bonus*
You can also load your own documents, images, spreadsheets, videos, etc. to have the LLM reference your specific data you provide this. 
So far GPT4ALL does this the best for me.
