 Nah machines (well designed ones anyway) are generally better at enabling people of all skill levels to achieve the desired stimulus that will result in an increase in muscle size and strength, improvements in cardiovascular function, bone density and tendon strengthening. All of which is the purpose of resistance training.

The whole “you are the machine” free weights good, machined bad mantra popularized by Crossfit is nonsense. The functional movement trend as a whole is also mostly marketing to sell you something. Much like shitcoin land

Resistance training is one thing and skills/sports are something else. Lots to say about that, but that’s enough of an unsolicited rant lol
