The streaming revolution has seemingly come full circle, with Netflix and Amazon Prime Video's early disruption giving way to a new era of Peak TV. This shift is attributed to the platforms' focus on user experience, offering great shows at a fraction of cable prices, and allowing viewers to binge-watch content on their own terms. However, this golden age of television has since given rise to unsustainable pricing models, delayed content releases, and an overwhelming number of overlapping subscriptions.

To survive, streaming companies are adopting new UX strategies, such as making ads additive, socializing viewing experiences, and balancing personalization with autonomy. These efforts aim to improve the overall viewer experience, reduce churn, and increase brand loyalty. The question remains: can these strategies revitalize the Peak TV era or will they simply prolong its decline?
