nostr:npub12lq0t9yamsp3dje39kkhcfxjsqt2su0q0xc2w2lmy2wvvp0xnp6smvy49h cats have made a dent in wildlife populations too. The article points out a lot of people buy a pet because of the appealing aspect of having its unconditional love, but it’s all on the human’s terms and causes behavioural issues in the pet. We give them human-themed treats and dress them in costumes. But shut them inside while we go to work or socialise. This is apparently ok, while zoos and circuses aren’t. Some pets get better lives, but I’ve seen many who don’t.
