Tuck pointing is refreshing the mortar holding bricks together on a building. Over time that mortar cracks and can fall out, creating the opportunity for leaks and less weather proofing. A tuck pointer typically goes line by line between bricks looking for cracks and fills them in again. In this picture the tuck pointer is on a scaffold outside of our second floor window which was a surprise when we saw him.
