The challenge of securely logging into a nostr mobile app seems to be stifling innovation/usage for a number of powerful experiences. I've run into this repeatedly over the last couple of days.

Who is actively working on solving this?

I know @PABLOF7z has nsecbunker and @brugeman has nsec.app. What else is out there ?
 amber for android
 Amber on android
Amber on android is the best solution for android, as the signer is always local.

Nak is my goto but only cli based so out of scope for most people.

Gossip is really good too and I use it extensively.

@BlackCoffee is working on a hardware device, like a coldcard for your nsec that does remote signing.

Nip-46 is still rough around the edges, mainly because the spec was so bad at first and there were so many iterations. It’ll be better.
That said, I think there is a lot to be said about large clients becoming signers, @jb55 expressed interest in doing this at some point, so did @miljan
I am also deving a signing app. It support NIP-07 (Just like the app Spring) and NIP-46 (Remote Signing) for Android and IOS. And it also NIP-55 (Android local signing) for Android.
But it is under heavy develop, there are many things need to do.

For web apps you can log in on mobile using the mods feature in Fedi

You don't get to choose your npub yet but that feature is coming
