 @efa2e20e I just bought it because I needed a new phone and it was the newest version and it was a decent size. So I should get 6-7 years of use out of it and when that cost is amortized over 6 years that’s a fair price to me.

note: røde apps for iphone + røde videomic go ii = mobile high quality recording of both video and audio so you don’t need to use internal iphone microphone 

some youtubers even record their
videos in 4K on iphones 

and i didn’t diss you, principle
for iphone upgrades: if it works fully
+ if it get latest update then no need to buy new one

but i reckon your old iphone  didn’t offer upgrade to latest OS - iOS17 - so it was only logical to upgrade it
