Plus web apps logged using Nostore on my iPhone including highlighter, habla, zap streams, flockstr, coracle, satellite earth, trustroots, and protest net (ditto + flockstr).

We’ve got a bunch of social feed apps, which is good, but the other apps help show that Nostr can be used for many kinds of apps.

What inspired this guy, and a ton of people at the #dwebcamp was just how many real apps, not just quick prototypes. nostr:npub16zsllwrkrwt5emz2805vhjewj6nsjrw0ge0latyrn2jv5gxf5k0q5l92l7 also setup a community scoped relay just for people at the conference, which was a great easy way to find everybody else there. Easy communities using relays.

When it came to bitcoin, folks had two concerns. First they wanted to know that using Nostr didn’t require money for each action, didn’t require a wallet to get started, didn’t require paying for an account to register, and wasn’t a blockchain project. They’re scared of the scams and barriers that they see with crypto. When I say, yeah, there’s a lightning wallet, which is bitcoin micropayments, meaning the transactions are cheap and don’t directly require mining, and let you optionally send tips and pay for services and content. Folks who would be ‘death to crypto’ and ‘I hate bitcoin’ often come around to ‘oh, yeah, that seems useful’. Because it’s optional and there appears to be a reason why they may opt in to it. And if they don’t want it, you can easily use Nostr without a wallet and it works just fine. The only other bitcoin thing was folks wanted content about things they’re into and not just posts about bitcoin. ;-D
