 It could if someone had the original source code. But it would take a genius to something like that. Besides: they would have to be malicious & uncaring to do that.  

 I think the best approach is to just clarify what he's saying. So you're going to miss out on the greatest wealth distribution in modern history because you think the CIA invented it? This is what you'll tell your grandkids when they ask you why you didn't buy bitcoin at 58k?

Regardless of who Satoshi Nakimoto was he's not around & no single person or organisation controls Bitcoin.

Bitcoin core, the most widely used validation software is the most scrutinised peice of software in existence. Regardless of who is mining the blocks, every block is validated by that FOSS software.

I believe it was the NSA that invented SHA & Bitcoin uses SHA256. I don't recall the CIA being involved but I guarantee they use it.

It's like saying I'm not going to use Tor or torrents because I don't know who invented it.

It's an irrational fear & it's always best to walk out their logic. 

If the CIA sell all their Bitcoin, then we have the biggest fire sale ever & it'll take 3-6 months for price to recover.

But why would they sell? The CIA like power & off the books funding sources for operations. Can you imagine how useful a Bitcoin stack would be for them?

They weren't Satoshi's coins but they were from that era. The market didn't seem to mind too much. 

 It doesn't matter who started it. Many more people have contributed now to the code. Also thousands of people run nodes and or mining equipment. The CIA has no more power to change the code than anyone else. 

 I think it isn’t the code that’s the issue but the million odd coins. 🙏🏻
