Boeing credit outlook gets gloomier as Fitch also turns negative

Boeing's credit outlook has turned negative as Fitch became the third major credit grader to downgrade the company's rating. Fitch cited "heightened execution risks" at Boeing over the next year or two as it normalizes production, deals with cash-flow swings, and repays debt. Boeing burned through $3.9 billion of cash in the first quarter and predicted another significant use of cash this quarter. Boeing CFO Brian West stated that the company intends to protect its investment-grade rating and still has access to $10 billion in untapped credit lines. Moody's and S&P Global Ratings have also downgraded Boeing's credit rating recently.
