So my daughter worked at this family owned restaurant for several years, starting in HS.  And when she's home she still often fills in for them.  They noticed how she tends to blow through her money very fast.  So they gave her several raises and even some bonuses but didn't tell her.  She stopped in today to say hi and pick up a check from one night a few weeks ago when she filled in cuz she was completely broke.  They gave her that check and 750 bucks from her "savings"
