nip-05 makes one unique on the nostr network .. easy to remember npub wot score kinda tells you how many people in your network also follow the nip-05 you are following ... If someone impersonate (pic or name ) your contact , they will still have a different nip-05 but in case you dont remeber the nip-05 address , you can check the wot score to see if your network follows the imposter .. makes sense ?

In Coracle, this number is equal to how many people you follow that also follow a given person, minus how many people you follow who have muted this person. This allows you to see at a glance if someone is accepted in your network. This helps reduce spam, impostors, and objectionable content. You can set a minimum web of trust score on your content settings page, which will automatically mute anyone with a lower score than your threshold.
So I can check WoT score in coracle? I haven't used it yet.
Yes .. if you see your feed in coracle .. you will see a wot score next to every user note .. You can choose to filter your feed on wot score .. for example if you filter it say for a wot score of 5 + , you wont see any spam from reply guy :-) ..
The WoT is based on their followers so you'd likely see more high profile followers on the real account. You also want to see accounts NIP-05 verified and back when we first started, most people dropped a "It's me" npub post on their other socials.
