You can get a dead marketplace one and replace the battery easily but the replacement battery is 2/3 the cost of a new device so not worth the risk of getting a bad device.
Which is why I wish Li-ion DC ones were common. It could literally be the price of a generic USB battery bank. And Li-ion if lightly used could last a decade
