I’m not a fan of the term expat and rather just call everyone who moves to live in another country an immigrant. People immigrate for many reasons and it’s pretty hard to learn to live in a new country, culture, and often language.

It is extremely hard. I’ve had the luxury of living all over the world and I know that about myself and I don’t talk about it a lot because it can come off as braggadocio, but I do know what it’s like to integrate into a new culture and learn a new language. And I lost 😞 friends in other countries as well. Hugs 🫂
