GM Nostr is an open protocol and anyone can build whatever they want. Feel free to do so. This being said, I don't want to build or use shitcoin Integrations, especially not to attract shitcoiners for "user growth". In my opinion, this is not the way. I rather have a few principled people here as user base with slow but steady growth because Nostr is turning into the superior product, compared to existing legacy services. Maybe it's just me, and you have a different opinion, and that's ok. This is an air message to multiple discussions on my timeline. Hmm. Some of the shitcoiners seem to be acting upon principle and there are some terribly amoral bitcoiners on here. I think it's a difference of opinion about what is more morally correct. I have very principled followers who would never spend Bitcoin, for a whole host of reasons, including that they think Bitcoin is sus. That said, don't feel pressured to work on stuff you find immoral. I'm not building a porn site, either.

Yes, and I think this is a good thing, for Bitcoin, because it is then treated like a currency. Exposing Bitcoiners to fiat also works vice-versa, after all. If Bitcoin is best, it can demand a premium because many producers will want to convert to Bitcoin after sale.

Ah and in my humble opinion shitcoiner never act out of principle. They create money out of thin air, come up with use cases that never are actual use cases after a short hype phase, but once people are hyped up they dump their bags on them to enrich themselves. Which leaves us with the single use case: Prey on people's gambling addiction. Some people are not creating these coins but believe the creators lies before trading them themselves or being dumbed on. Nothing morale about it.

magpies 😍 little rascals haha yes, the shitcoiners have to build their own NWC integrations anyway to make it possible, in fact on the client side the only blocker is the currency name field which for most clients will only have bitcoin, so it's an extremely trivial change for clients but i know of no shitcoin project building an NWC interface and if they do, who cares, as i see it, the more users of nostr the better it gets, the more relays, the more attempts to find ways to monetise it without the standard web2 advertising model, the better i'm most likely never going to do this because since about 2020 shitcoiners abandoned #golang and i'm not going to work with rust, scala, kotlin, c++, c or javascript which covers almost all of their wallet code i'm not bothered by adoption by people i don't agree with, i'm just not gonna put a lot of energy into it unless they pay me and only if i am only using Go so there's that pretty big friction point against it ever happening i'll build them a thing to use their blockchain though, so they get FOMO by not getting NWC integration in their wallet i say, better people use nostr than bluesky :bluesky: or fartcaster 💨

Same here, imo its better to have a good working niche product. However, freedom for everybody to build whatever is more important. That being said, those damn birds! The're smart and annoying. They always come in group and scare everything away in my garden. I have 2 cats who are completely powerless. They even eat the catfood! 😂
