I cannot believe how I used to go through my days on my old diet. It seems surreal that I could even be subsist on such garbage. The constant hunger, always trying to get a hit of sugar or carbs, never satiated, never focused mentally. What an absolute waste of years of my life simply because our society won’t be honest about a healthy diet. We are gonna bring back real food and real diets. The results are undeniable.
Same. I performed at an elite level eating a garbage SAD diet for many years. Curious how a meat heavy diet would have made me feel back then? Feel better than ever now in mid 40's.
Roger that. Everyone needs to view this documentary. https://www.forksoverknives.com/the-film/
Looks like plant propaganda, sorry.
Its pure vegan propaganda and outright lies
Ugh. Removed from the queue.
Hahaha, good choice. Its been torn to pieces by many for all its deception pretty much since its release
Didn’t think the vegans had made it to Nostr yet.
😂😂😂 I've run across maybe 3 now.
I really don’t know how they make it through the day.
Nor do I. I stupidly tried out vegetarianism in my late teens/early 20s, and felt like complete crap most the time.
Me too, I only lasted about ten weeks before I realised how unhealthy and energyless I felt all the time. I always assumed that explained their attitude, poor things are half starved.
Yea I would certainly agree. And lack of nutrients the brain craves has been proven to cause cognitive decline in the long term. Some study done over something like 20 yrs followed people on various diets looking at how they compare in various metrics.
Wouldn't suprise me, the brain should be run as best it can and fed what it needs. I hope any damage is reversible 😞
I would assume it can be at least mitigated if not reversed. I know coconut oil is suggested for dementia patients due in part to it fatty acid profile being really good for brain health. So I would assume that and/or a steady diet of good animal fat/protein cant help either.
I didn't know that about coconut oil... I'm carnivore and my head has been clearer than ever but that could be aided by the fact that I quit drinking (was doing a few bottles of red wine per week) and have begun daily exercise. My mind has gotten progressively sharper and I don't want to go back, to the point where I might not even drink with friends at special occasions like birthday parties and weddings... I dunno yet I have one of both in the next couple of weeks so we shall see.
Was living with some friends years back and the wife"s mom had dementia and lived with us. That's how I found out, then read more and its like a widespread use thing for the patients. Its also part of the reasoning people add MCTs tho their diet. Goes right to the brain as medium chain triglycerides are actually water soluable and crosses the blood/brain barrier very readily. And as I think I already said, animal fats fit the bill as well. Especially butter from something I came across some yrs back. And then there is the magical egg which has pretty much everything (and particularly choline). Its got what it takes to make a life so ya know that packs a punch As for drinking, yea I would have to agree that helps a lot. I'll drink very occasionally and whenever I do, a bit muddled in the head the next day even without anything close to a hangover.
Don't be so harsh. We were taught lies since kindergarten. I'm fairly certain Miss Smith from primary school Biology was wrong when she taught us humans were omnivores, and I am pretty sure my medical school professors were wrong when they taught us red meat causes cancer and heart disease. We are still living in a fiat world. So we get fiat food and fiat medicine. Learning about bitcoin lead to me learning about proper nutrition. I am now much healthier than ever before and have even started lifting heavy weights.
I with ya high protein low carb diet completely fixed a lot of digestion issues I had. Crazy I used to think cereal was a healthy breakfast
Well said Will... I spent decades living in sugar addiction but had no ill health, or at least I thought. Then I had three 10 and 11 pound babies which tipped me off. After years doing low carb I'm now feeling blessed to have discovered the carnivore community and am reversing the aging process on the Lion Diet (100% meat).. This science is real! I wish you all the success in the world on your healing journey... 🤎🙏🤎🙏
Awesome to hear your story. I fortunately figured this out about 9 years ago and have been enjoying the fruits of it sense. Maybe @bitcoinsandy is right about doing a podcast. There have to be hundreds of these stories.
