Google Photos is taking steps to increase transparency around AI-edited images. As part of its AI Principles, the platform will soon label photos edited with tools like Zoom Enhance and Magic Eraser. The "Edited with Google AI" note will appear alongside file name, backup status, and camera info, but not on the photo itself. This move aims to promote responsible use of AI editing features.
