How do New Yorkers live like this? It’s 35C / 95F outside and it’s even hotter inside the subway stations with no air conditioning or air circulation. Literally any other major city or country has this beat. #nyc
no A/C inside the subway? crazy
It’s in the trains, unless you get stuck on the Unlucky Car.
Once you leave the Northeast it's hard to go back.
It’s 100+ year-old infrastructure. It was mostly built before air conditioning was invented and the cost to retrofit all the major stations would be astronomical.
The city of Manhattan still runs on steam like the whole city runs on steam.
Make strategic stops in air conditioned stores like walgreens/cvs 😅
