The convention speakers instead focused on inflation, crime, and immigration. The GOP platform also stripped federal limits on abortion and supports state-level elections on abortion policy. Vaccine skepticism has grown in the Republican Party, with only 36% of Republicans saying they're confident in the safety of COVID-19 vaccines.
