 You can use plugins like the EFF Privacy Badger to help mitigate fingerprinting. Many browsers help mitigate this too if you poke around in the browser settings. 

There are plenty of people on here more knowledgeable than me in this area but I'll also say that redundancy is a prudent approach:
Privacy respecting browser (Tor, Mullvad, Librewolf, Ungoogled Chromium), good VPN (Mullvad, IVPN, ProtonVPN), custom DNS (NextDNS),  a few good privacy extensions/ plugins, and erasing cookies when browser closes are all helpful layers of privacy. Not perfect but certainly mitigate a lot of privacy risk overall.
