you should’ve asked the community if they wanted it and then gave them a way to contribute to its success, why would anyone give you funds when you’ve never thrown an event before.. 

start by laying out a well thought out plan, followed by what it’s gonna take, propose it, get volunteers, then make a geyser fund for it. 

If the future of this event depends on one individuals capital, you’ve failed.
