 Yep, yep... Discoverability is important but the self-curated feed is far superior. I also appreciate the current legwork needed for someone to build an audience. It shows they care. Most of the trending type stuff is really only useful to me for a quick catch-up, almost like scanning news headlines. Trying to use those as default changed how I interact too, which was an interesting realization.

They are complete opposite ends of the spectrum, with my personally built timeline being my happy middle. 

And! It's so easy to shift up your experience when something feels off. That's an underrated quality of the lack of algos imho. No sticky ickies 😅
