Yep, yep... Discoverability is important but the self-curated feed is far superior. I also appreciate the current legwork needed for someone to build an audience. It shows they care. Most of the trending type stuff is really only useful to me for a quick catch-up, almost like scanning news headlines. Trying to use those as default changed how I interact too, which was an interesting realization.
