Fillet steak is kinda awesome, why have I only been eating rib eye!
 the price?
The price? 8 EURO for 240g (from discount section, 50% off)
 Ah nice. Good price then.

I pay about 26Euro (without 25% discount of my supermarket) per KG of Ribeye/Rump and more than double that for Filet.
Filet is one of the most expensive, it’s so good though. I typically prefer ribeyes, but rarely eat them. I’m a pleb and eat sirloin and flatiron, tritips. All the budget cuts.
How much do you pay for ribeye where you are?
The cheapest here is 17EUR/kg
"premium" grade is about 26EUR/kg
Fillet is the way to go (although something more fatty maybe better on a BBQ?)
Bone in filet is the way. You get the extra flavoring from the bone marrow and connective tissue without all the marbling and chew.
Cut it with a fork, so gooooood
I only like them if I add back in some element of the savory richness that it's lean nature lacks, like a sauce or reduction. With a ribeye though & a little salt, I'm fully satisfied.

I buy both cuts all the time & can't really choose a "winner" after thousands of trials so... 😏
