Here in Florida, we had a tropical storm with heavy rains and 40+  mile-an-hour winds. I spent most of the day cleaning up debris from my yard, including a lot of deadwood that fell from the 100yr old oak tree in my backyard.

Coincidentally, we also experienced a massive stock market & #Bitcoin price crash today. 

It made me reflect on how the occasional windstorm is actually beneficial for the health of a tree. 
It clears away the extra weight and dead growth, allowing the tree to continue growing and stay healthy.
