DO YOU REMEMBER YOUR FIRST COCA-COLA?

This was something that was brought up on the last Bitcoin walk I was on.

A question I asked was:

“Do you remember the first time you drank Coca-Cola?”

The hardest thing I have struggled with BTC is ‘unlearning’ what I have believed for all my life.

I cannot remember the first time I drank Coca-Cola, because it’s always been there.

I have always known what it tastes like

I have always known it was red

I know that I can go anywhere in the world and feel comforted by drinking Coca-Cola

I do not remember the first time I was offered it, but I always remember asking for it.

This is what made challenging fiat currency so difficult

You get comfort in the system

You ASSUME everything works as it’s supposed to.

You believe in it because it’s all you have ever known

But does that make it right?

Or will all my teeth fall out before it is too late

But what if that comfort is just a clever illusion?

Coca-Cola was sweet, familiar, and easy to trust—but we all know what happens if you drink it every day.

Much like the fiat system, it keeps us hooked on what's always been there, even if it's not what’s best for us in the long run.

Bitcoin isn’t comfortable or familiar.

It doesn’t have the taste we’re used to, but that’s precisely what makes it powerful.

Sometimes, we need to unlearn what we know to make room for something better

Even if it doesn’t come in a familiar red can.
