I know you’re in California, and I don’t know what kind of maple trees you have out there… but it’s worth mentioning that you can make maple syrup from maples that aren’t sugar maples.

Acer saccharinum and Acer negundo, silver maple and boxelder, are two examples I’ve heard of which thrive in the area I’m from, which is much much too warm for sugar maples. There are probably even more maples that will work.

You need more sap to make it but they still make syrup.

You can also make syrup from birches and hickory trees, but it’ll taste different, of course.
You also have to look out with birch syrup because 1. It burns easily and 2. It contains xylitol which is deadly for dogs and cats to eat
 Me?

Yeah I have no maples.

I have a while garden no maples.

But if I could make syrup out of pomegranate I would definitely try🤷🏽

For now I'll have to settle for the cologne I made from various things in my garden.

 #YESTER
A lot of shit. I don't remember everything but I picked a bunch of roses and blossoms from my trees. I dug up some ginger.

I know I took cinnamon and cloves from the pantry

A lot. I was just kind of smelling and seeing what I thought smelled good🤷🏽 never did it before. Just wondered if I could.

How does one make pomegranate molasses because I will definitely try out. My pomegranates will be ready in September.
Sounds like it smells awesome. How long has it been aging? It looks super dark.

I think you get pomegranate molasses by gently reducing pomegranate juice until it’s thickened.
 A month

I'm trying to find the picture I put on Nostr when I first did it

I'm going to look up pomegranate molasses on YouTube and see if I can get some visual references
I think it's dark because I added dragons blood incense thinking it would turn red
