So… seven far-right Republicans decide to oust McCarthy because he actually compromised and worked with Biden on something, and then all the Dems vote with the 7 in order to oust him. I think he’s a horrible Speaker, but I was hopeful he was maybe growing a spine. Now, it’s unclear who will be Speaker, and it could be someone much, much worse. Why did the Dems vote to kick him out?
