Yes you can select for kinds and hashtags under content filters, so if you eventually wanting this for lonng form then select that. For testing you may just want notes. 

But on the test sites I've made, I left the hashtag box empty under content filters and only selected notes. 

Then down in nav and homepage I added the hashtags.
