I think I can actually break a new iOS feature! In iOS 17.1, the App Store app now lets you focus the search box by double tapping the search icon in the bottom nav.

Apple Music has had this since forever, and other apps like Letterboxd and Threads have adopted it as well over the years, but many Apple apps inexplicably haven’t.
