Some of MY biggest problems with AI are the lack of FOSS. Villains like Sam Altman seek a protectionist walled garden for themselves. 

 Did they just take a "Bitcoin is using all ma energies" article from 2018 and %s/Bitcoin/ai/gc ? 

 if people were paying the market price for the energy consumption to use the service this is simply solved and only people that it makes sense to be using it will be doing so. but instead lets see what 0 iq market manipulation ensues...cant wait
