With all due respect, I wholeheartedly disagree. That IS a false equivalence.
Nostr does not need to defeat Twitter, it just needs to challenge it, apply pressure. What Twitter, which is now X btw, does in response, is the X factor. No pun intended :)
That is the beauty of the market dynamic. It is best to not think that, for something to win, another must lose, That is "zero sum" thinking. It is so fiat-mentality.
Instead, stand back and observe how the "dominant" player, Twitter/X, reacts to opposition. If they have "what it takes" in terms of integrity or smarts, they might be the better for it (i.e., anti-fragile). If not, they will be relegated to the dust bin of history.
But to bank on success by someone else's demise is what Bitcoin is trying to get us away from.
That is what I believe in my humble opinion. I could be wrong ;)
