Was there ever a president who was against war and did his damnedest to avoid it?

In the past 40 years, the only president I saw who did not start two wars, but rather ended two wars was Donald Trump.

That being said, I don’t think he was the best president of all time, but if he wins in November continues to end conflicts around the globe, anything as possible!
