Everything has trade offs.

I think Ecash is fascinating but personally I keep everything in cold storage aside from some sats for zaps. 

But what Hal is pointing out here is similar to what Saylor has been talking about. That the option to take self custody at any time forces players to act more honestly. 

That doesn’t mean it doesn’t also introduce counterparty risk.
